With input from an international audience, the first session explored the theories behind patient safety, with presentations from leaders in the field, namely Professor Suzette Woodward, Donna Forsyth and Dr Denise Chaffer. The second session examined what is happening in practice, Dr Denise Chaffer returned to explain the scale of the task and initiatives being deployed by NHS Resolution, and was joined by speakers from the USA who then shared their experiences and insight namely, patient safety specialist Nikki Centomani and claims specialist Bridget Zaremba.
