Experience

Natasha has significant experience in domestic and international work. She advises a range of funds, investment and clearing bank, corporates, management teams, property advisors as well as restructuring professionals.  She has a particular niche in acting for off-shore banks in Jersey, Guernsey and the BVI. She has experience as a specialist insolvency litigator advising on all aspects of insolvency and securities disputes, in particular advising insolvency practitioners on both contentious and transactional matters.

Re Spaces London Bridge Limited [20180 EWCH 3099 (Ch) 18, acting for Bank where the High Court considered the validity of a notice of appointment of administrators that did not state the time and date of the appointment. 

Re Hellas Telecommunications (Luxembourg) II SCA where a Luxembourg holding company shifted its COMI immediately prior to an insolvency process so as to claim a UK COMI and the consequent application of the insolvency laws of England & Wales and Chapter 15 proceedings in the Southern District Court of New York.

Madoff International Securities Limited (MSIL) acting for office holders in the cross-border recovery and pursuit of assets dissipated by Bernie Madoff.

HMRC v (1) Portsmouth Football Club (in administration) and (2) The Football League in the determination of Football Creditors falling outside the scope of parri passu distributions prescribed  under UK Insolvency Legislation.

Recent Deals:

GPC SIPP Natasha advised financial and professional services group Smith & Williamson LLP on the administration of GPC SIPP, an FCA regulated operator of Self Invested Personal Pensions (“SIPPs”) and Small Self Administered Schemes (“SSASs”) with regards to a business and asset sale to Hartley Pensions, a company that is part of the Wilton Group managing more than £1bn of assets. The sale included the repatriation of GPC clients’ SIPPs and SSASs to the buyer, along with the transfer of over 8,000 physical property assets held by the trustees of the pension schemes.  GPC specialised in the provision of technical and administration services to trustee entities, which acted as corporate trustee of SIPPs and SSASs holding investment value of approximately £130m. 

Khaadi Fashions Natasha led a multi-disciplinary legal team which advised on the pre-pack administration sale of Khaadi Fashion, which saw the core of the business rescued.
