Accredited Institution of Civil Engineers Law & Contract Management – NEC4 course

construction building

DWF is an accredited provider for the Institution of Civil Engineers LCM course, lectured by a host of leading lawyers in the field. This course comprises 25 interactive sessions, delivered on our custom-built platform from Zing365, one of the UK's leading training providers.

The course is designed for those involved in engineering and construction projects using the NEC form of contract. It is suitable for both public and private sector organisations, and is relevant for all professionals involved in NEC projects, from the employer side, consultancy practices, contractors, sub-contractors and those involved in the supply chain.

Tailored specifically to be inclusive of all practices and experience levels, the course will lead delegates through the basics of contract law, the law of tort and NEC3/4 Contract Management. If you are involved, or are looking to get involved, in any NEC projects, this course is essential.

The course follows the syllabus from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and prepares delegates to sit the ICE Law and Contract Management Exams (Module 1 and Module 2 in June 2023). Successfully passing both exams provides delegates with the Certificate in Law and Contract Management, and allows students to the use the post-nominal CLCM.

The course runs from late October 2022 and until May 2023, with exams in June 2023. Our custom-built training platform from Zing365 enables students to combine online and live interactive sessions. The course will cover both Module 1 (Law and Tort) and Module 2 (NEC3/4). There will be a winter and spring break throughout the course.
