Marissa has over 15 years' experience in the defence of dust disease and personal injury claims. Her unique expertise enhances DWF's niche speciality in respiratory illness claims and dust disease litigation. Marissa is also experienced in defending catastrophic injury and medical negligence claims, as well as both plaintiff and defendant insurance litigation. She also leads DWF's Institutional Abuse team in Australia.
Marissa has an active senior leadership role at DWF and is dedicated to the mentoring of junior staff, particularly women. She serves as a Committee member for Women in Insurance (Qld) and is Chairperson of DWF's Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. Marissa has been responsible for driving a variety of fundraising and volunteering initiatives at DWF for organisations such as Wesley Mission Queensland, Habitat for Humanity and Kids Helpline.
