Experience

Based in the Chicago office, Brian has worked to develop tools, applications, and strategies to improve project performance to ensure consistent results for clients throughout his career.

Before joining DWF, Brian was a project manager and client contact for a variety of complex document reviews conducted in Chicago and India for matters in practice areas that included:

  • Employment law
  • Pharmaceutical sales
  • False and misleading advertising
  • Product liability class-actions, including a bet-the-company putative class action arising from a United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recall

Brian has worked as a primary client contact and project manager for various template harmonisation and playbook creation projects including one of the largest pharmaceutical companies, where he collaborated with heads of business and legal departments to develop processes and work streams for over 35 templates and playbooks.

Brian managed the working relationships between the U.S. and India-based teams, and drove all harmonisation discussions with the client’s lawyers and procurement leads, during which he introduced alternate clause provisions and presented raised issues.

Subsequent to that project, the same client entrusted Brian to lead a post-merger contract abstraction as well as the outreach required to provide notice and consent of the assignment of contracts to the new entity.

Brian has also run numerous pre-and post-acquisition commercial real estate and telecom lease abstraction projects, including the analysis of all leases and licenses associated with a 23 buildings and a $3b acquisition by a leading commercial property owner. He has also led large and small-scale litigation document review projects, managed teams of lawyers for various financial regulatory projects, and negotiated database license agreements.

Brian earned his B.S. in Business Management with a focus on Collective Bargaining and Labour Policy from Case Western Reserve University as well as a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago.
