Our Qatar office is home to Arabic and Western construction law specialists who have been practising in the Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA) region for over a decade and have worked across a range of sectors.
As a result, we have a deep understanding of the EMEA market. Our Doha-based team regularly do work in many jurisdictions, including England and Wales, France, Venezuela, Pakistan, Australia, Russia, Poland and various US states.
Our team provide a coherent and integrated service both in relation to project and procurement documentation and resolution of disputes. The team has established itself as market leader in the preparation and negotiation of standard form contracts including the FIDIC suite of contracts (with members of the team regularly presenting at international FIDIC events), and has particular expertise in the PPP space across a number of business sectors.
The team is currently advising the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in connection with the PPP delivery of a 20-ton/day Bio-Methane plant in Karachi, Pakistan. The plant operator is expected to execute the project pursuant to a FIDIC Gold Book. Among the most important outcomes for ADB is to ensure sustainability, positive impact on the environment and tangible benefit to the local community. Our team is assisting ADB to ensure that the right strategic and legal structure is put in place to achieve these imperatives.
