Webinar: Zoom on real estate in time of crisis

10 June 2020

We held a webinar on what changes on our law, following the adoption of new legislation to deal with this unprecedented health crisis, which affected the real estate sector and labour law in particular.

The Covid-19 pandemic forced Parliament to adopt the law on the state of health emergency of 23 March, followed by the adoption of 30 ordinances on a wide range of subjects and impacting all sectors, including the real estate sector. Charles Koskas and Florence Karila focused on:

  • The emergency law, its ordinances and the real estate sector
  • Covid-19 and containment proof real estate transactions and commercial lease

Then, Mathilde Plénat introduced the new employment law rules. Social ordinances have overturned many rules that were thought to be immutable. Different concepts are affected: partial activity of course, but also the role of staff representatives, the rules for taking paid leave and rest days, working hours, etc.

Please note that the webinar was made in French.
