Michael Gove, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, delivered a statement to parliament on 13 July setting out further steps the UK is taking in preparation for the end of the transition, period including £705 million investment at the borders. View >


UK government consults on future arrangements for UK single market:
The Department for Business has published proposals intended to ensure the functioning of a UK internal market following transfer of powers in 160 policy areas from the EU to the devolved administrations at the end of the transition period. BEIS makes the case for legal underpinning of binding principles on mutual recognition and non-discrimination and for setting up of an independent body to monitor the single market and engage with businesses and consumers.
