Partnership offers innovative solutions to enable businesses to reach their full potential

21 February 2018
DWF
A partnership between DWF Consulting and the Ideas Centre Group will host masterclasses in Belfast, Edinburgh and London which aim to help businesses unlock their potential, improving the services and products they are able to offer their customers.

The masterclasses are hosted by Dr Dave Hall of the Ideas Centre Group in partnership with DWF Consulting and are open to businesses across all sectors, both large and small. They are aimed at those in leadership positions who want a truly different approach to improving, growing and developing their business. These individuals are the ones who recognise that remaining relevant and competitive means thinking differently.

The Ideas Centre Group (ICG) was established by Dr Dave Hall in 2011 to provide organisations with the means to unlock potential innovative solutions that are otherwise blocked by psychological and cultural barriers. The core aim of ICG is to support businesses to broaden their thinking habits, address challenges, seize opportunities, develop knowledgeable and confident in-house facilitators, manage creativity, and, more broadly, deliver organisational transformation.

For the first five years ICG worked solely in England, developing a network of Ideas Centres in 11 different locations – each bringing together six to eight contrasting businesses to build skills and share knowledge.

In 2017 ICG partnered with DWF Consulting to work together on a pilot project to expand the Ideas Centres across the UK, with the ambition to eventually move in to international territories.

Businesses who attend the masterclass can expect to go through a range of tools and techniques which promote innovative thinking and break tired cycles of problem-solving to enable leadership teams to arrive at more creative and effective solutions. Attendees will have the chance to create broader networks, working with and learning from follow attendees across a range of sectors.

Those already signed up to attend include Lloyds Banking Group, Police Scotland, BT, RSA, Legal & General, Arriva UK Trains, JPMorgan, Action for Children, Bombardier, Danske Bank, and Ulster Bank.

Dr Hall said: "Partnering with DWF Consulting is an exciting initiative, uniquely combining approaches to both continuous and discontinuous improvement methodologies within a single collaboration, thereby allowing organisations to embed a powerful engine to drive innovation and transformation."

Ed Hunt, principal consultant at DWF Consulting, added: "We are truly excited to be joining the Ideas Centre Group at the heart of this growing network of brilliant thinkers and leaders. As a long standing member of ICG, I know how powerful these tools and techniques are in the right hands; and more so, how valuable the sessions can be in creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and building long-lasting connections."

Jason Dunning, principal consultant at DWF Consulting, said: "Having worked in the traditional, tried and tested improvement world up to now; these sessions really help unlock the door for businesses looking to think completely differently about their problem and potential new solutions. Expect to generate refreshing novel ideas in an exciting, fast-paced, creative environment."
