To celebrate International Women's Day, join the DWF team from Manchester for a guided walk and some informal networking, while we learn about this fantastic city and those associated.

Event Details

International Women's Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues that still impact women's advancement. Since 1911, IWD belongs to all who care about women's equality, recognise women's achievements and raise awareness about discrimination. Celebrated annually on 8th March, it is an occasion to mark women's lives and contributions to society and the community.

In recognition of this day, we invite you to join our walking tour focused around this theme. The walk promises to be an important and thought-provoking experience – you will hear about the inspiring women who have had an influence on the history, heritage, and culture of not just Manchester, but much further afield too. The tour will take in many locations that played an important role in the social and cultural changes from the 1800's to the modern day.
