DWF appointed to the FCA and PRA’s Consultancy and Skilled Person Panels

07 April 2026
DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has been appointed to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority’s (PRA) Consultancy and Skilled Person Panels.

The Skilled Person Panel is an approved list of expert firms that the FCA can appoint to conduct independent reviews (known as “skilled persons” or “section 166” reviews) into regulated firms’ systems and controls, conduct, governance, prudential regulation or risk management.

DWF’s multi-disciplinary Financial Services Regulatory team of lawyers and consultants has been appointed to four ‘Lots’ on the Skilled Person Panel: Governance, Accountability and Culture; Controls and Risk Management Frameworks; Market Abuse; and, Prudential (FCA solo-regulated firms).

The Consultancy Panel is a panel of service providers to the regulators themselves. DWF has been appointed for Risk Management.

Commenting on the appointments, DWF’s consulting lead, Harry Howe, says: “We are very pleased to be appointed to these panels and to get recognition for the depth and quality of our regulatory, risk and governance expertise.  We look forward to supporting financial services firms and the regulator alike in the years ahead, whether through on- or off-panel appointments.”
