Hope Pranauskatie

Experience

Hope is particularly interested in commercial work and has shadowed both interim and final hearings in insolvency, landlord and tenant, and various contractual disputes during her first six.

Prior to joining DWF, Hope routinely attended possession (mortgage and private landlord) hearings as well as small claims trials arising out of breach of contract, some involving consumer rights issues. Hope also has experience in representing car finance providers in return of goods and hearings relating to PCP “secret” commissions claims. Prior to commencing her legal career, Hope spent 4.5 years working in the banking sector. She was exposed to the FCA regulatory framework in relation to the prevention of fraud and scams and the industry standards relating to offering compensation to victims. Hope welcomes instructions in all areas of commercial and finance litigation.

Hope has drafted pleadings and interim applications, both in commercial and personal injury matters. She has experience dealing with claims brought by litigants in person, both in drafting pleadings and offering strategic advice. Hope prides herself in her ability and her track record of completing her drafting instructions very swiftly. She particularly welcomes instructions to settle pleadings in commercial and property matters.

Hope also has experience in RTA and Personal Injury litigation. She has dealt with RTA liability and quantum matters which often involve elements of credit hire and credit recovery and storage. Hope is diligent in her analysis of voluminous disclosure in support of impecuniosity and is adept in both the substantive and procedural arguments routinely employed in credit hire matters by both the claimants and the defendants. She has also deployed technical arguments relating to the claimant’s failures to comply with various aspects of the RTA Small Claims Protocol.
