Skills and specialist knowledge: 

Mark is a solicitor in the Manchester Employment team specialising in both contentious and non-contentious employment issues. Mark qualified in August 2025 after completing his training at DWF. Mark advises clients across both the public and private sectors on a wide range of employment law matters.  

On the contentious side, Mark support on a variety of Employment tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing. He plays an active role in all stages of the litigation process, including managing Acas early conciliation negotiations, drafting pleadings and witness statements, preparing hearing bundles, as well as liaising closely with clients and counsel. Through this work, Mark has developed a strong understanding of litigation strategy, risk assessment, and effective case management.  

Alongside his contentious practice, Mark provides comprehensive day‑to‑day employment law support to clients, advising on a wide range of advisory matters. His experience includes drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, and settlement agreements, as well as providing pragmatic guidance on disciplinary and grievance procedures. Mark also supports corporate transactions by undertaking employment due diligence and reviewing employment documentation in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and TUPE transfers. He regularly collaborates with colleagues across multiple offices and sectors, enabling him to deliver commercially focused, practical, and tailored advice to clients.
