DWF achieves top honour at ENEI Awards

12 July 2018
International legal business DWF has achieved Gold in the 2018 Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) new Talent Inclusion & Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) Awards for its outstanding equality, diversity and inclusion practices.
The business was one of just five organisations who were awarded the TIDE benchmark which was launched by the ENEI this year.

The ENEI Awards recognise the commitment of organisations to achieving diverse and inclusive workplaces and celebrate the teams and individuals who are making a difference in their workplace. TIDE, the ENEI evaluation and benchmarking tool, measures a business's approach to diversity and inclusion in the workforce, community, its leadership and strategy. Other businesses who met the Gold Standard were HS2, Department for International Development, Pernod Ricard and Ministry of Justice.

DWF was also shortlisted in a three categories at the ENEI Awards including the Advancing Social Mobility category, for its work supporting emerging talent through its award-winning community education programme 5 STAR Futures. This programme aims to advance social mobility by helping young people from areas of social disadvantage to develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.

Kirsty Rogers, employment partner and head of DWF Manchester, was recognised in the Senior Equality & Diversity Champion category for her commitment to supporting and enabling gender-inclusive working practices and being a leader in driving DWF's diversity and inclusion agenda.

DWF was also recognised in the Agile Working category following its success in introducing agile working practices across its offices, enabled by investments in technology and modern office space, which is allowing its people to work more flexibly, efficiently and with better work-life balance.

Ty Jones, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility & Engagement at DWF, said: "This is a wonderful achievement which celebrates collective efforts from everybody at DWF to align what we do to our values which are to always aim higher, keep all promises, attend to details, disrupt to progress and be better together.

"As our international expansion continues to be driven by client need, we continue to grow our global diversity and CSR practices to benchmark our performance more widely, and we will work with our international offices to identify relevant opportunities aligned to jurisdictions which will help maintain our focus on inclusion, whilst enhancing our brand profile and credibility."
