Experience
Daren has 20 years' post-qualification experience of industrial injury work. His particular interests are asbestos, occupational cancers, NIHL and HAVS, but he has extensive experience in most long and short tail conditions.
Daren has acted for a number of large insurers and self-insured PLCs. His instructions include various cancer cases involving nasal and bladder cancers, lung cancer from both asbestos and chemical exposures and cases of kidney failure from silica exposure. He has dealt with numerous asbestos-related injury claims including several mesothelioma cases with issues over policy coverage. He has successfully defended many RSI claims including claims by airport baggage handlers, automotive parts workers and secretarial staff. Daren regularly presents training sessions to both insurers and solicitors and is involved in the consultation processes in respect of disease and asbestos claims handling with the judiciary and the ABI.
