David advises a broad spectrum of clients ranging from high net-worth individuals, developers, and Tier 1 contractors, to local and central government departments, overseas territories and protectorates, including high-risk locations. He is often asked to advise on esoteric and disparate areas of law, providing innovate legal advice for complex or novel problems not always covered by existing practice or procedure.
David has developed significant experience across the NEC, JCT, and FIDIC standard forms, as well as advising on bespoke forms of agreement.

- Advised successful claimant in securing Part 8 declaration striking down adjudicator's decision as unenforceable in Liverpool City Council v Vital Infrastructure Asset Management (VIAM) Limited (in administration) [2022] EWHC 1235 (TCC).
- Advising a British mining entity with significant assets in Africa on its largest ever capital investment ($70m USD).
