Joanne has a background in claimant law and Insurance management.  She was head of claims for  a large insurer before joining DWF in 2013.  We recruited Joanne, following the LASPO reforms to help our clients navigate the subsequent changes in Claimant Solicitor behaviour.  Joanne leads on profiling within our motor division and since joining DWF she and her colleagues in the data, intel and analytics team have won numerous industry awards.

Joanne was the architect of the "Route to Market" initiative which was a winning entry in the 2019 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards. DWF was recognised for its excellence in data analytics to help insurers mitigate the effects of adverse claims and behaviours.

She works across jurisdictions and is a regular speaker at our Scotland and Northern Ireland conferences.  She has a specific interest in commercially driven and fraudulent rehabilitation claims and has written several papers on this issue.

Joanne supports clients in the casualty area on the subject of claims building and costs building, particularly in respect of Portal Claims.

She works closely with Nigel Teasdale head of the motor and fraud practice group.
