Experience
Paul has held a number of senior leadership roles at DWF since joining in 2013, including Office Managing Partner and UK & Ireland regional managing partner. Most recently, from 2021 to 2026, he was CEO of the Commercial Services division, which accounts for half of DWF’s global business and includes 180 partners and more than 1,400 fee earners.
He was a board member at the time of the business’ IPO in 2019 and was appointed as a director of DWF’s holding company following the Inflexion take private transaction.
Paul has both contentious and non-contentious experience and has also worked in-house as interim General Counsel for the UK’s largest pension fund.
He qualified as an insurance litigator with Weightmans, specialising in professional negligence litigation, before retraining as a corporate lawyer with Addleshaw Goddard. He later joined DLA Piper, where he spent seven years as a partner specialising in corporate M&A and private equity.
At DWF, Paul has been part of the senior team that has overseen significant growth, including a sevenfold expansion of the corporate and commercial practices.
