Experience
Rachel acts predominantly for employer clients, she is a strategic thinker who adopts a commercial solution focused approach when advising her clients.
Rachel advises on a broad range of non contentious matters such as restructuring and redundancies, disciplinary and grievance issues and other HR day to day matters, absence management, dismissals and employee exits under compromise and settlement agreements. She also advises on Service Agreements, with a particular interest in restrictive covenants and on contracts of employment and employment policies and procedures. She provides extensive support on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including advising on TUPE, mergers and acquisitions and business insolvencies.
On contentious matters, Rachel is an experienced litigator and regularly acts in the employment tribunals in GB and and also in NI on a wide range of claims, including discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal.
Rachel advises public sector and private sector clients, who range from PLC's and international companies to small businesses and senior executives.
Rachel is a very experienced trainer who regularly presents at employment law seminars and provides in-house employment law training to clients. She has been interviewed on the radio and her articles have appeared in the print media and online.
