It is official, from 19 July legal restrictions in England will be lifted and further easing will be seen in other parts of the UK. However, as the Prime Minister made clear, ' this pandemic is not over… coronavirus carries risk for you and your family', just as it does for your employees. In practice, as we move from legal to self-regulation a broad set of new challenges emerge for businesses.

Event Details

Join our multi-disciplinary team on 20 July to reflect on day one of ‘freedom’ and gain insight on the key issues you should be considering to mitigate risk. This practical session focuses on how the decisions you are making now will significantly impact your potential liability in the short and longer-term. We will cover your key questions in areas such as employment, equality, health and safety and claims, including:

  • How to manage a face covering policy when the law doesn’t require them?
  • How to enforce isolation and quarantine - can you require employees to share their vaccination status?
  • Should you be removing COVID control measures, when cases are increasing and infection risk is as great as ever?
  • What trends are we seeing with claims and regulatory action and how would a former HSE prosecutor consider these approaches to risk?
  • What action should employers be taking to ensure whistleblowing complaints are appropriately handled?
We look forward to welcoming you to this virtual event.
