The idea of South Asian Heritage Month is to celebrate, commemorate and educate in order to build awareness of the rich and diverse heritage of individuals from South Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
To mark this South Asian Heritage Month, we asked colleagues from across our global locations to share with us a little about their heritage, their families, what they have learnt from their culture and what they would like to share with the world about their culture.
Chief Information Officer and Race & Ethnicity Network Sponsor, Daniel Pollick said, "DWF operates globally and we benefit massively from the innovation and varied thinking a diverse workforce brings, both within and across our different locations. We also understand the importance of representation and role models. We therefore wanted to take this opportunity to showcase our colleagues and give everyone the chance to learn more about them."
We have curated some of the stories from our colleagues that celebrate their individuality and provide some great ideas on what you can learn about South Asian Heritage as well as some great recommendations about South Asian cuisine.
