Amanda specialises in health and safety law defending private companies and individuals in prosecutions brought by the Police and the Health and Safety Executive. Amanda also represents Local Authorities facing criminal and regulatory proceedings.
Amanda has experience of handling initial investigations and representing clients in litigation from a range of industries such as the Construction and Leisure sectors and has acted on numerous serious and fatal incident cases.
In the Healthcare sector, Amanda advises care home owners subject to regulatory proceedings initiated by the Care Quality Commission.
Amanda also has Public Inquiry and Inquest experience and advises clients on compliance with and appeals against enforcement notices.
As well as being instructed in health and safety cases, Amanda represents clients in professional discipline matters and has experience of private prosecution work.
