Experience
With excess of 20 years' experience of working with Insurers in the legal profession, Anthony primarily deals with claims and complaints against Solicitors, Accountants, Insurance Brokers, Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, Valuers, IFAs, and Stockbrokers, as well as a number of the “new” and “emerging” professions.
When instructed to do so, Anthony also provides detailed and commercially-based coverage advice to Insurers. He has advised on liability and defence litigation strategies for commercial dispute claims for Insurance clients based in the London Markets.
- Anthony has resolved (on favourable terms), and pre-action, a number of high value professional indemnity and Construction claims in Ireland.
- Anthony has resolved (on favourable terms), and pre-action, a number of large claims against various manufacturers for alleged negligence and breach of contract upon various product liability matters.
- Anthony has resolved (on favourable terms), and pre-action, a number of high value complex Catastrophic Claims in Ireland.
- Anthony has advised on Fraudulent Claims for the Special Investigations Unit of a market leading International Insurance company.
- Anthony has successfully resolved a breach of employment contract for an Irish commercial marketing company involving the disclosure of trade secrets to an international company based in Asia. The matter was resolved in the Irish Commercial Court following an Injunction and subsequent application for Attachment and Committal for breach of the Injunction Order.
In addition to this, Anthony has worked previously as a Defence Litigation Solicitor with a niche commercial law firm and worked extensively for a number of Irish and London market based insurers. Anthony has extensive experience in all litigation matters and has also assisted colleagues on Medical Negligence matters and complex Product Liability claims.
