Experience
Lynne has acted for most UK based insurers in her 20 year career, defending their corporate and public sector clients in employers', public, road traffic and product liability cases, and in health and safety and criminal prosecutions. In 2009 she was the first female lawyer at Simpson and Marwick to achieve extended rights of audience in the supreme courts as a solicitor advocate, and in 2015 was accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in personal injury law.
She has represented the majority of local authorities in Central Scotland over her years in practice, most notably, Argyll and Bute Council at the lengthy Fatal Accident Inquiry held following the deaths of Niamh Lafferty and Georgia Rowe when resident at the Good Shepherd Centre in Bishopton.
Lynne is well known for her expertise in credit hire claims. She speaks on the topic regularly, and was invited to sit on a large insurer's UK wide panel of credit hire experts as a consequence. She has also developed extensive knowledge in the retail sector, as sole nominated panel solicitor in Scotland for one of the largest supermarkets in the UK for over 5 years.
