Rachita Maker is the Global Head of Legal Operations, Technology and Consulting at DWF. She boasts more than two decades of global legal industry experience, responsible for revolutionizing legal departments, introducing bespoke processes across multiple geographies and providing a guiding voice to our clients along their legal operations journeys.
Rachita is passionate about solving client problems. As a forward-looking professional, she believes in being solution- and result-oriented, devising simple and creative solutions to complex issues.
Prior to joining DWF, Rachita was Vice President – Legal at a large India-based telecommunications company. There she was responsible for leading the legal department’s transformational journey to be more technology and data driven. She led multiple technology implementations and continuous improvement and automation projects, as well as headed the Compliance division.
She has also served as Vice President – Legal Services at a US-based Alternative Legal Services Provider. There she led the India Legal Services team of more 1000 legal and non-legal professionals. Prior to that, she worked as Director for a “Big 4” Accounting Firm’s contract lifecycle management solutions team, where she oversaw the development of new solutions, improvements to workflow and quality control processes and the management of complex client engagements. She has also consulted with a Dubai-based private equity firm to set up Sri Lanka’s first ALSP.
Rachita is a thought leader in the legal industry who has been recognised as a leading Legal Operations trailblaser. She has curated Legal Operations 1 on 1 series where she discusses pertinent questions relating to legal industry with other leaders. She has authored a number of blog posts which have been posted on various websites including CLOC. In her spare time, she enjoys experiential traveling, bringing joy through cooking and running several times a week.
