DWF in Italy promotes internal growth with two promotions

20 May 2026

These promotions reflect DWF’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and form part of the firm’s ongoing development of its key practice areas in Italy, with Alberto Sieli (Corporate and M&A) and Veronica Clapis (Employment) promoted to Counsel.

“Alberto and Veronica have demonstrated strong professional capabilities and a clear focus on clients’ needs, making a significant contribution to the strengthening of their respective practices. We are therefore particularly pleased to support their continued growth within our team, in line with DWF’s approach of consistently recognising and promoting internal talent. We will continue to invest in the development of our people as a strategic driver for the firm’s future,” commented Michele Cicchetti, Managing Partner of DWF in Italy.

Having joined DWF in 2018, Alberto Sieli has developed his professional career within the firm, building solid experience in corporate, M&A and private equity transactions, with a particular focus on complex deals involving private investors, investment companies and private equity funds. Over the course of his career, he has gained significant experience in handling investments, acquisitions and disposals of shareholdings and business units, as well as mergers and corporate reorganisations, supporting clients at all stages of transactions and regularly operating in both domestic and cross-border contexts.

Veronica Clapis joined DWF in 2023 and specialises in employment law, advising Italian and international companies on all employment-related matters. She supports clients in both advisory and litigation work, with a particular focus on employment relationships, compliance, industrial relations and collective bargaining, as well as corporate reorganisations, workforce reduction procedures and social security law matters. Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in supporting companies through transformation processes and managing workforce-related challenges, including in complex and structured environments.

These promotions further strengthen two strategic areas for the firm — Corporate M&A and Employment — in line with growing client demand for specialised advice and with the integrated approach that characterises DWF.
