International legal business DWF has appointed litigation partner Ricky Cannon and hired associate Neale Tosh to its Glasgow office as the firm looks to strengthen its debt recovery and finance litigation offering in Scotland. Both join from Brodies where they specialised in business disputes and asset recovery.
With more than 16 years' experience, Ricky's practice focuses on a wide range of litigation including commercial litigation, finance litigation, debt recovery and insolvency. He regularly provides support to banks, asset finance lenders, financial institutions, utility companies, insolvency practitioners, debt purchasers, companies and individuals pursuing or defending claims for the recovery of debts and assets. Through regular appearances in court to conduct all types of hearings, he has developed excellent advocacy skills and has acted for a number of high-profile clients. Ricky is joined by associate Neale who specialises in debt and asset recovery. Neale has particular experience in vehicle finance litigation, volume debt recovery and personal and corporate insolvency.
Ricky has a particular interest and focus on motor and finance litigation and will work closely with National Head of Finance Litigation John Perez on developing the practice into a market leading finance litigation offering across the UK and secure a larger proportion of the finance litigation market nationwide.
