Ellis Whittam Limited was founded in 2004 by solicitor Mark Ellis. The business provides specialist employment law, HR and safety services to over 35,000 UK employers from its Chester base. It will now become part of Marlowe plc, a London-based listed business, which provides services that assure safety and regulatory compliance, whilst managing risk for businesses across the country.
DWF advised Ellis Whittam's founder Mark Ellis and minority shareholder private equity firm LDC on the sale, which is subject to FCA approval. The DWF Corporate team was led by partner, Jonathan Robinson, alongside partner James Cashman, senior associate solicitor Will Munday and associate solicitor Rosie Spencer.
