Damian will join DWF's London office in September from BCLP, where he spent 16 years as a real estate partner and for the last five years, as managing partner of the Manchester office.
Damian has a wide-ranging experience acting for international investors and developers, sovereign wealth funds, high net worth individuals, UK and international banks and retailers.
His practice includes advising on investment capital transactions, large-scale pre-lets, portfolio asset management, secured lending and a range of corporate real estate matters. He has considerable experience across a number of sectors, including offices, retail, leisure, logistics and residential premises.
Damian said: "DWF's approach to innovation aligns well to my drive to think differently about the provision of legal services to a range of blue-chip clients. I'm delighted to join the team - from delivering highly technical legal advice through to managing people and developing new ways of operating, I believe that I can add much to the global real estate practice."
Toby Askin, Global Head of the Real Estate practice at DWF, said: "We are delighted to welcome Damian to the business. He has an excellent record technically as a stand out real estate lawyer but also as a leader and influencer of people.
"Damian will be a great strategic fit for both our UK and international clients. We very much look forward to him joining us in September."
