Bethanie is a Senior Sustainability Manager at DWF with approximately 10 years’ experience in ESG. She has worked on numerous energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa, ranging from the social impact of renewable developments to working with oil and gas product and service providers, to assessing baseline ESG performance, conducting materiality assessments, and developing associated strategies and targets that are aligned to GRI, CSRD, and TCFD requirements, as well as local and international laws and industry best practice.
Within the UK and EU, she has worked with construction, real estate, and consumer and retail clients on their overall ESG performance, providing an in-depth analysis on climate risk and the social impacts of decarbonisation where necessary. She has also worked as an Independent Environmental and Social Consultant (IESC) on offshore oil and gas developments, providing ongoing monitoring and recommendations to operate in line with IFC Performance Standards, and assessed the human rights performance of businesses in other energy-intensive sectors.
