Experience
Prior to joining DWF in February 2019, Kay-Leigh worked in the IT industry as an In-House Commercial Lawyer for Specialist Computer Centres PLC (SCC). Having spent 4 years working as in-house legal counsel, Kay-Leigh has a detailed understanding of the information technology sector, particularly for resellers of IT products and services and suppliers of managed services.
Before life in-house, Kay-Leigh worked as a corporate and commercial solicitor for an East Midlands law firm, Smith Partnership.
Kay-Leigh acts for both customers and suppliers. She works alongside clients to provide practical and commercial advice and understands the way a business works. She is therefore able to combine her in-house business understanding and legal experience to deliver tailored strategic advice.
Kay-Leigh is a specialist in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and technology agreements. She provides advice on a wide range of business to business commercial contracts, including but not limited to: a) confidentiality agreements; b) teaming agreements; c) supply contracts for the procurement of goods, software, and services (framework agreements and one-off supply); d) subcontractor agreements; e) reseller and partner agreements for IT Products and Services; f) managed services agreements; g) consultancy agreements; and h) terms and conditions for employment businesses.
Kay-Leigh is best known for her plain English approach to legal advice, commercial focus and approach-ability.
