When you work in a global legal business, the opportunities are endless. Our Business Services programmes will give graduates the opportunity to spend time within Finance, HR or Marketing teams. 

Throughout the programme, graduates will complete a post-graduate qualification to enhance their knowledge and understanding within the workplace. The programme was designed with a focus on training and development, which will provide exposure to a diverse range of work and responsibilities, along with a robust support network of supervision and mentoring in place. 

DWF is an exciting place to begin and shape your career. The Business Services teams work closely with each other and with the legal teams; they play an integral role in the delivery of a premium service to our clients.

Finance

The graduate scheme within Finance consists of a three-year programme, where the successful candidate will rotate between teams in Finance and gain all-round experience on how these teams work to support our colleagues in the wider business.

 
Finance

You will gain experience in the fundamentals of finance such as invoice posting and cash allocation to get a solid grounding in the end-to-end process, and learn how to analyse data to add value and improve these processes.

Monthly internal reporting and control over DWF's bank accounts occur in our management accounts and treasury areas of our Finance team. You will work with this team to learn how to consolidate DWF's financial data and produce fit-for-purpose reporting to a tight timetable.

You will have the opportunity to support the primary platforms on which the Finance teams operate and maintain key financial data. You will also gain experience in how an integrated financial platform operates and assist with resolving issues as they arise.

HR

In the two-year programme with HR, you will have the opportunity to move between some of the different teams, to gain a detailed understanding of what services we provide to our colleagues. 
 
HR

The Learning and Development team encompasses the delivery of development from study support and technical learning through to business and softer skills. At your placement, you will gain oversight of the different ways learning is delivered to the business to support talent pipelines and business performance. 

The HR Shared Services team are the first point of contact for colleagues across DWF for all HR administration. During this placement, the successful candidate will gain an understanding of the administrative processes that inform the employee lifecycle and an overview of how HR data is captured, stored and maintained by the team.

The HR Business Partnering and Advisory team are responsible for the delivery of the key people processes such as talent and succession management and performance reviews. As part of your time with the team, you will gain knowledge of the HR policies and procedures DWF operate and get exposure to projects and cyclical processes that are run by the team.

The Reward team are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the colleague reward package, from informing compensation levels through to managing the DWF share plans. The successful candidate will get a good understanding of reward strategy and how this is delivered to the business during their time with the team.

Marketing

During the two-year programme, you will gain a detailed understanding of the crucial role the marketing teams play at DWF. The successful candidates will work with our Brand, Digital, Communications, Bids and Clients and Sectors teams. 
 
Marketing

The Brand team support the evolution and development of our brand. They create and maintain structure and resources that facilitate brand implementation. You will be working with our Brand team on internal and external campaigns, as well help manage and develop the brand resource library creating the shareable assets that are fundamental to the management of a global brand. 

Digital are responsible for developing our digital strategy and the management and development of the digital platforms such as our social media, website and eComms. You will have the opportunity to get a good understanding of the digital strategy and support the team in the development and implementation of the digital aspects of campaigns for DWF and our clients.

The Bid team supports the business globally on any opportunity to pitch for new business. In this placement, you will receive exposure to the end-to-end project management of our formal bid opportunities, as well as gaining experience of procurements for bid processes and pitch development. 

The Clients and Sectors team support our eight global sectors and provide a full range of marketing and business development services. As part of your time with the team, you will support on a range of projects including a Thought Leadership campaign and our Key Account Programme.

Our Communications team manage all of our internal communications, PR and investor relations activity. The successful candidate will support the team on a wide range of activities – from drafting internal and external communications to reviewing and copy editing material.
