DWF Australia and four of its leading lawyers have been ranked in the first tier for Queensland Workers Compensation for defendant firms in the 2018 Doyle's Guide.

DWF Australia and four of its leading lawyers have been ranked in the first tier for Queensland Workers Compensation for defendant firms in the 2018 Doyle's Guide.

The Doyle's Guide is an independent organisation in Australia which recognises the strength of legal businesses in the country's regions, with results based on client feedback and independent research.

This year DWF Australia also secured second tier the Dust Diseases rankings, third tier of the Medical Negligence rankings, and was ranked as a recommended Compulsory Third Party Insurance law firm. DWF has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide now for four consecutive years in a row, which underpins and further reinforces the business's expertise in the areas of Workers Compensation and Insurance.

In addition to the practice listings, four senior members of the team also received specific recognition. Damien van Brunschot, Executive Partner of DWF Australia, was listed as a preeminent lawyer in the Workers Compensation and Dust Diseases areas, and was recommended in the Compulsory Third Party Insurance and Public and Product Liability areas. Jamie McPherson, Managing Partner of DWF Australia, was recognised as a leading lawyer in the Workers Compensation area, and as a recommended lawyer in the Public and Product Liability area. Insurance partner Hamish Broadbent was highlighted as a leading lawyer in the area of Medical Negligence and insurance consultant Robert Parcell was listed as a recommended lawyer in the area of Workers Compensation.

DWF established a presence in Australia last year when it acquired claims management business Triton Global which operated in Sydney. October 2017 saw the business launch offices in Melbourne and Brisbane through a combination with an independent Australian firm. Since, DWF has opened an office in Newcastle, New South Wales, and provides specialist, integrated advisory, transactional and dispute resolution services all over the country.
