We know how important it is for GCs to have a forum to discuss the challenges and opportunities they are facing and especially in times of crisis, that's why we were proud to help to facilitate these conversations at The Lawyer GC Strategy Summit 2020.
At this year's virtual version of the event, our legal experts were part of a panel discussion with a difference. Expertly hosted by Rob Booth, General Counsel and Company Secretary at The Crown Estate, the legal experts from DWF made a case for what they would “consign to room 101” in terms of how legal teams operate today.
From their extensive experience working with in-house legal teams, Kirsty Rogers, Jonathan Patterson, Hilary Ross and Stewart Room shared their biggest 'bug bears' to send to the Legal Room 101. From technological and cultural changes to the evolving role of the GC, our experts offered their advice on what legal teams need to ditch in order to build the legal function of tomorrow.

Individual accountability in financial services: Global reach and future road map
We also hosted a roundtable session at the event, where DWF senior specialists, Imogen Makin and Andrew Jacobs shared their view of current regulatory expectations in this area, gleaned from their insight across a range of UK and global financial services firms. This session examined the responsibilities of those individuals whose remit includes global functions operating from more than one geographical location.
