I'm Emma Marsh and I am a Marketing and Account Manager at DWF and am also the global Co-Chair of DWF's Young Professionals Network. In my role as an Account Manager I support two of the firm's global sectors, Energy & Natural Resources and the Public Sector as well the Dispute Resolution Practice Area.  I help to drive global growth and deliver client focused business development and marketing activities that are at the heart of our business' success.

DWF's Young Professionals Network is a global network which seeks to bring together those at the earlier stages of their careers from all different industries, sectors and locations, and to nurture and generate career spanning relationships.

Being a part of DWF'S Young Professional's Network is a great way to build your own network with both peers internally at DWF, and externally with our clients, contacts and intermediaries. There are various ways to get involved either by attending or organising our events, whether that be virtually or in person, contribute to and/or read our bi- monthly newsletters and to participate in training and development activity.

Some of the events and activities that we ran last year include hosting a diversity and inclusion themed panel session with some of our clients which explored the young professional's perspective on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Another event that we ran was an internal innovation and ventures challenge where our internal DWF young professionals came up with an innovative idea or solution that would help business practice.

We've also just launched DWF's Young Professionals Network training programme in conjunction with Zing 365. There are 4 sessions held throughout this year and they will all be aimed at supporting young professionals on their career development by equipping them with valuable skills to help them navigate their careers. The next session is taking place on Wednesday 21 September 2022 – 12:00 – 13:30 GMT. This session will focus on Problem Solving and Creative Thinking, helping attendees to understand how to solve the problems we face and use creative thinking to work more efficiently and effectively by resolving those problems. You can find out more about these sessions and book a place by vising our Hub

The Network is completely free to join and by signing up to our newsletters and joining our events you will have the opportunity to develop good professional relationships and build your network in a friendly, relaxed and approachable environment as well giving you the opportunity to learn useful tips and ideas that you can apply to your own careers.
