DWF makes senior insurance appointments in Australia and APAC

13 May 2026

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has announced two senior appointments in its Australia business.

Victoria Clucas and Bill Evans, two DWF partners currently based in Dubai, will relocate to Australia later this year to strengthen the firm’s client capabilities and drive growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

Victoria is a partner in DWF’s Global Risks team advising insurers and reinsurers on complex property, energy and construction claims and coverage disputes. She is also Commercial Director for the Middle East and North Africa and will now take on an additional responsibility as Commercial Director for Asia-Pacific. This role will include a remit to develop DWF’s offering through the region with a particular focus on Singapore.

Bill is also a partner in DWF’s Global Risks team and specialises in handling complex, high value property, energy and construction claims across the UK, EMEA and APAC. Bill, who qualified as a solicitor in Australia, will become Head of Property, Australia, while also continuing in his role as Global Head of Recoveries.

Victoria will retain her Middle East responsibilities with DWF firmly committed to retaining a strong insurance capability in Dubai and ensuring continuity of service to its clients in the region. The team in Dubai will now be led by Adam Pryor and Brian Boahene

Commenting on the appointments, Matt Curll, DWF Country Managing Partner in Australia, said: “We’re very pleased and excited to welcome Victoria and Bill to our team in Australia. Their appointments add real strength and depth and will help us to further build our profile and client relationships nationally and internationally.”

DWF’s Insurance Services Managing Partner, David Abbott, added: “These appointments further emphasise the strong global connectivity that we are building across our insurance business. From London to Canada, the Middle East to Australia and now looking beyond to APAC, we will continue to strengthen wherever our clients need us to be.”

DWF has around 2,000 people in its global Insurance Services division and is one of the world’s leading providers of legal and business services to the insurance industry.
