Caroline supports clients in the local government, media and retail sectors, advising on complex insurance claims covering all aspects of employer and public liability. Caroline has extensive experience of claims involving major injury and fatality on the highway, school related claims, historic abuse, stress at work, housing claims and human rights claims. Caroline also has a niche specialism in working with local authorities in addressing social care debt and related litigation and has supported local authorities across the country in addressing debt levels in the £millions.
Caroline regularly represents clients in inquests, with particular specialism in supporting those in adult and children social services, mental health services, housing sector, fire service and highway services.
Caroline acted on behalf of the successful Defendant/Appellants in Harris v Waitrose (2009), Hillard v Surrey County Council [2018] EWHC 3156 (QB) and Murphy v Milton Keynes Parks Trust Ltd & Anor [2021] EWHC 2917 (QB).
