He is regularly recognised as one of Scotland's leading commercial property lawyers with a specialism in working for clients in the retail and hospitality sectors, in particularly on shopping centre, retail park, leisure and hotel real estate projects.
He is particularly well known for my expertise in the retail sector, where he regularly represents leading investors, developers and some of the largest and best-known retailers in respect of their Scottish property interests. He has also considerable experience in the hospitality sector (in particular hotel and student accommodation).
He is accredited as a specialist in commercial leasing by the Law Society of Scotland and have been invited by various bodies to participate in consultations in relation to law reform proposals in this area.
When not working, Iain unwinds by watching the mixed fortunes of his football team, Falkirk FC, which provides me with regular opportunities to 'build my character'. He also enjoys other sports, including golf and athletics.
