Experience
Kelly has supported clients and the wider Data Protection & Cyber Security team across multiple areas of data protection, including:
- Handling data subject access requests (including those that are highly contentious and subject to different jurisdictions) and in managing communications and complaints made to the regulator;
- Drafting data sharing and data processing agreements from a UK GDPR and EU GDPR perspective;
- E-commerce reviews (including advising on direct marketing activities, conducting cookie compliance assessments and reviewing privacy notices);
- Supporting with regulatory enforcement matters in relation to contraventions of the UK GDPR and the direct marketing rules; and
- Supporting with privacy transformation projects and policy reviews.
In addition, Kelly has gained a wealth of experience through multiple secondments to clients in various sectors, including financial services and the veterinary industry. During this time, Kelly played a significant role in enhancing data protection compliance across the business on a global scale. This provided Kelly with valuable insights into key business operations and their intricacies, allowing Kelly to further develop her holistic and practical approach to data protection compliance and share this with her team.
