Maria's background is in both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters and she acts for clients in a variety of sectors including retail, transport, hospitality, manufacturing and construction.
Maria's practice is concerned with the provision of advice, assistance and representation in relation to safe systems of work, policies, incident investigation and reporting, representation at PACE interviews, inquests, enforcement notice appeals and defending criminal proceedings. She is frequently instructed in relation to matters of a most serious and highly complex nature by a diverse client base from the high hazard industries with a regional, national or global footprint.
Maria also has the benefit of having undertaken a long term secondment for a retail client, covering a wide variety of compliance issues relevant to the consumer sector, including; advertising regulation, price promotions, cosmetics regulation, consumer protection and general product safety.
