Carla is the fourth real estate specialist partner hire so far in 2023 at DWF. She joins the London office from Dentons.
She has extensive expertise in all aspects of real estate transactions, including real estate finance, complex developments and investment with particular capability in large-scale portfolio investment transactions. Carla acts for REITs, global funds, financial institutions international investors and large corporate occupiers. Carla's sector experience includes office, logistics, hotels and leisure, retail, life sciences, later living, high end residential development and student accommodation.
Carla has been recognised by the Legal 500 as a “rising star” for Commercial Property (Investment) from 2020 to 2023 for having "extensive expertise in high-value development projects and investment portfolios". She is also a member of the Urban Land Institute UK Committee and is responsible for overseeing its mentorship programme.

Carla's appointment follows a number of senior hires in 2023 that have strengthened DWF's full service real estate capabilities. Deepa Deb, also previously with Dentons, is joining the business as Global Head of Development and Investment, whilst the London office has been also been bolstered with the arrivals of construction partner Yolanda Walker and corporate real estate partner Alan Barnett.
