Marco's marine practice spans a wide range of shipping and marine insurance matters including charterparty and bill of lading disputes, marine liability, and insurance coverage disputes.
He has strong experience advising on contentious matters across various sectors ranging from marine and non-marine insurance, charterparty and bill of lading disputes, ports and terminals liability, rail and logistics. He advises Lloyd’s syndicates and London market and overseas insurers across various lines of business including cargo, hull and machinery, war risk and ports and terminals liability.
He also acts for owners, charterers and P&I clubs in relation dry shipping disputes, collisions, salvage and cargo claims. Marco regularly advises in relation to cargo contamination and other damage claims, especially those involving oil, grains, foodstuffs and other "soft" commodities and has significant experience pursuing subrogated recovery claims.
Prior to joining DWF, Marco worked for a major international law firm and a leading Australian insurance law firm.
