Webinar recording – Terminating business tenancies
12 February 2025
This webinar provided advice on the termination of business tenancies (inside and outside the 1954 Act, and Ground F for regeneration projects), and compensation payments.
The Civil Justice Council (CJC) has recently published their final report on enforcement in England and Wales, which you can access via this link here, following a call for evidence and break-out sessions at the CJC's National Forum.
The report aims to make enforcement more efficient and effective while ensuring fairness and protecting vulnerable defendants. To achieve this, a working group was formed, including representatives from debt advice agencies, the enforcement industry, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), HMCTS, and members of the judiciary. DWF's Nicola Critchley was the Insurance member on the group.
From bomb scares and fire drills, to the sudden illness of a key witness, or surprising concessions during cross examination, you never quite know what is going to happen in the court room.
Litigation can be, and often is, unpredictable! From time to time, the unforeseen element may be the outcome itself.
How should you handle an unexpected or unforeseen decision by a judge?
