Experience
Throughout his career, Justin has been involved in advising London Market insurers in respect of defending (re)insureds from liability, and in complex coverage disputes. As part of the Global Risks group, Justin's practice is focused on advising insurers in connection with financial, global liability, property and energy insurance lines. Justin has broad experience acting for London market insurers on international coverage, liability defence (including arbitrations), and subrogated recoveries involving jurisdictions across Europe, USA, Canada, and Latin America.
From his time spent as a litigator in Canada, Justin has gained experience defending insureds in all stages of litigation, including at trial. His primarily defence-focused practice involved defending individuals and businesses in respect of claims related to injury, property damage, professional negligence and regulatory sanctions. Justin also has experience with Canadian coverage including general liability, property, products liability, energy and construction policy coverage.
Since joining DWF's London office, Justin advises on coverage across a wide range of international policy lines, such as public and products liability (including PFAS, opioids, AFFF), director & officer liability, warranty & indemnity policy disputes, energy (renewable and non-renewables, offshore and offshore liabilities including during construction and operation).
Justin also represents insurers and insureds in property damage and liability disputes litigated in the English courts.
