As part of our activities during Black History and coinciding with International Anti-Slavery Day, during this tour we will learn more about Liverpool's role in the transatlantic slave trade and of the characters that were key players during this period in the City's history. The tour will visit buildings, streets and areas of the city that were at the heart of the trade - with many links and historical signposts still obvious but overlooked.
Liverpool's place in the Transatlantic slave trade will be forever etched into the history books.
The walk promises to be an important and thought-provoking experience and will provide an opportunity for attendees to reflect on our shared history and how it is represented in our daily surroundings.
