Double insurance award win for DWF

10 May 2018
Insurance

International legal business DWF has achieved a double accolade at this year's prestigious Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards.

DWF won in both the Legal Partner of the Year category and the Fraud Prevention Solution of the Year category at the 2018 awards which are designed to recognise and reward customer service excellence from within the insurance industry.

In the fraud prevention category, the business was recognised for its expertise in Scotland, with the judges stating that DWF was "disruptive and collaborative" in its fraud prevention solutions. Partners Jill Sinclair and Andy Lothian were particularly recognised for their work to influence the introduction of regulation for Claims Management Companies in Scotland. Also highlighted at the awards was the DWF Disrupt to Progress forum which provides a platform for Scottish regulatory and enforcement agencies to work together to fight fraud in Scotland.

DWF's motor and consultancy teams were awarded the Legal Partner of the Year category after being recognised for the work they have done using technology and predictive analytics to move opponent profiling to the next level, delivering impressive savings for their clients.

This is just one of a number of achievements for DWF's market leading motor and counter-fraud teams including a recent win for Innovation in Practice at the Scott & Legal Awards 2018, for the second year running.

Lorraine Carolan, DWF's National Head of Counter Fraud:"I am delighted that DWF won in two categories at the Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards for Fraud Prevention Solution of the Year for our Scottish counter-fraud team and also for Legal Partner of the Year for the motor and consultancy teams' route to market initiative. The awards are testament to the investment in innovation that the business continues to make in its services and is very much down to the immensely talented individuals that make up the DWF Scottish counter-fraud team and the motor and consultancy teams. At DWF we focus on a multi-disciplinary approach and collaboration with our clients is paramount. I am really pleased that all of the immense efforts of the teams have been recognised when up against very credible competition."
