Led by the Social Mobility Foundation, the Social Mobility Employer Index is a list of the top 75 employers who are the top-performing employers on social mobility this year. It assesses and ranks UK employers on the actions they take to ensure they are open to talent from all social backgrounds.
Accountability for DWF's approach to social mobility sits at board level and resonates across the whole business. Measures taken to improve social mobility include removing the requirement for specific grades for graduate roles, and instead seeking 'good' grades to attract a more diverse talent pool; offering solicitor and non-legal apprenticeships; engaging and partnering with clients on events to highlight the importance of social mobility; and the flagship school engagement programme, 5 STAR Futures.
Seema Bains, partner and Head of DWF's Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Group, said: "We are very proud of our ongoing inclusion in the index, which demonstrates the importance we place on improving social mobility and the steps we are continually taking to break down the barriers to progression even further."
