DWF advises on pre-pack sale of Lucky Voice to Moyagi Group

08 October 2026
DWF has advised on the administration and pre-pack sale of three Lucky Voice karaoke venues to Moyagi Group, securing the future of the well-known brand and preserving 59 jobs.

Steve Absolom and Howard Smith of Interpath were appointed joint administrators to Lucky Voice Group Limited, Lucky Voice (Soho) Limited and Lucky Voice Pods Limited on 6 October 2026.

Immediately following their appointment, the joint administrators completed the sale of the business and certain assets to Asobi Group Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stockholm-founded late-night bar and karaoke operator Moyagi Group AB.

The transaction sees Lucky Voice venues in Soho, Holborn and Liverpool Street transfer to Moyagi Group, together with the Lucky Voice brand and intellectual property and its B2B business. A total of 59 employees have also transferred to the purchaser as part of the transaction. The Lucky Voice sites in Brighton, Waterloo and Islington were not included in the transaction and have closed, resulting in 53 redundancies.

Founded in 2005, Lucky Voice has become one of the UK's most recognisable private-room karaoke brands. The business had experienced challenging trading conditions over the past 12 months, including increased operating costs and pressure on consumer spending.

The DWF team supporting Interpath on this process was led by finance and restructuring partner, Rory White-Andrews.

Rory commented: “We are pleased to have advised Interpath on this transaction and to have worked closely with the team and other advisers to deliver a transaction in a challenging trading environment. While the circumstances surrounding any administration are difficult, it is positive to see the Lucky Voice brand continue under new ownership, with three venues remaining open and 59 jobs preserved. We wish Moyagi and the Lucky Voice team every success as they take the business forward.”
