Legal business DWF has advised the EDM Group, the leading supplier of aviation, defence and rail training simulators globally, on its acquisition of RP Aero Systems, a UK-based engineering company that delivers specialist materials and training systems to the aviation industry.
The acquisition will provide RP Aero Systems with a greater range of financial and technical resources to develop new products, as well as broaden the company's geographical reach. RP Aero systems will also gain access to the EDM Group's In-Service Support department, which will enable the business to offer new, worldwide support services to clients. The company will retain its existing brand and will continue to operate its manufacturing and customer support services from its Littlehampton headquarters.
DWF's National Head of Corporate Frank Shephard led on the legal aspects of the transaction alongside senior associate Darren Ormsby and solicitor Rebecca Gargary.
