DWF ranked among top European legal businesses for innovation

05 October 2018

Global legal business DWF has been ranked the 11th most innovative legal business in Europe in the 2018 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers report.

The annual report, produced in conjunction with research partner RSG Consulting, describes DWF as "one of the UK's most dynamic legal businesses" and recognises DWF's innovative approach to developing new business and service delivery models, deploying new technology and introducing new products and services.

For the first time, DWF's Managing Partner and CEO Andrew Leaitherland has been named among the top ten innovative individuals in Europe, in recognition of his commitment to embedding a culture of innovation throughout the business.

DWF achieved rankings in five separate categories overall, including a 'standout' recognition in the New Business and Service Delivery Models category for the growth of its research and development capability through legal tech incubator, DWF Ventures.

The business was also highly commended in three categories: New Products and Services, Data, Knowledge and Intelligence, and Technology. A commendation was also received in the Creating a New Standard category for the firm's work in setting up a multi-disciplinary counter-fraud offering.

Andrew Leaitherland, Managing Partner and CEO at DWF, said: "This report is a high-profile and trusted benchmarking programme which we are proud to be included in for the fourth consecutive year.

"Such positive recognition this year for many of our innovations across the business demonstrates the value that has come from our continued focus on 'doing things differently' and embedding an innovative way of thinking across all areas of our business."

Inclusion in the FT Innovative Lawyers Report comes after a stellar year for DWF, which announced revenue growth of 18% at the end of FY17/18, driven by global expansion and innovation.
